Valuer-General, Katherine Bartolo

Katherine was appointed to the role of Valuer-General of South Australia in January 2019.

Prior to her appointment as Valuer-General, Katherine was the State Director of Valuation and Advisory Services at CBRE, having moved from Sydney to Adelaide for the role in 2014.

Katherine grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales and started in the property industry in 1999. She has undertaken a wide variety of roles in her 20+ years in the property industry.

Katherine’s career has afforded her opportunities to develop a wide range of skills which has enabled her to give back to the community through not-for-profit board appointments and is currently on the Animal Welfare League of SA Board.

Katherine believes that our future rests in a communal effort in fostering the next generation of professionals. She volunteers on a university working group in guiding the future of education.

Whilst property may have been her first love, her heart now (also) belongs to her magnificent partner David and their three beautiful fur babies, Monty, Juno and new addition, George.

Katherine joined the Australian Property Institute CEO, Amelia Hodge to record a podcast regarding Careers in Property. You can listen here
